Philly Cheese Steak
Try this delicious and very simple recipe for philly cheese steaks on your Heatlie. If any Philadelphia natives see this, apologies, we know it probably isn't very authentic. It is nonetheless, very delicious and satisfying to eat.
Ingredients
- 2x 500g Rib Eye Steak (thinly sliced)
- 1x White Onion (diced, or thinly sliced)
- Your choice of cheese (We went with American cheese for a nice melt, but provolone works well too if you can't stomach plastic cheese)
- 4x Decent sized white rolls
Method
- Finely dice or thinly slice a white onion.
- Thinly slice and season your steak
- Cook separately on high to start so the onion gets a chance to caramelise nicely.
- Once the meat has browned all over, mix together with the onion on the cooking plate to get the flavours incorporated.
- Organise into a nice long pile and top with cheese. Let everything melt together.
- Cut your rolls down the middle and toast flat on the plate.
- Once all is ready, transfer meat straight into roll.
- Enjoy!
Go your hardest and customize this to your liking, it'll be delicious no matter what!
