Super Easy Smash Burgers

To make the perfect smash burger, you need a big, hot flat plate for ample smashing room. Good thing your Heatlie fits that description perfectly!


  • Beef mince
  • Cheese of your choice (we used American for the best melt)
  • Lettuce (shredded)
  • Tomato (sliced)
  • Onion (finely diced)
  • Mayo
  • Potato buns (brioche works too)
  • Bacon (optional, but why wouldn't you?)


  1. Prep your mince by rolling into tight condensed balls ready to be smashed.
  2. Prep your other fillings by finely dicing a white onion, finely slicing a roma tomato and shredding some iceberg lettuce.
  3. Place each ball of mince on a ripping hot Heatlie flat plate, along with bacon.
  4. Using something flat, wide and heavy like the underside of a spatula, squish the mince down and form a flat patty.
  5. Cook until a nice crust forms and flip.
  6. Chuck your buns on the plate face down to get them nice and toasty.
  7. Lay slices of cheese on patties to get them all melty and combined.
  8. Build your burger you want but we went....

(Bun, Mayo, Patty, Cheese, Onion, Tomato, Lettuce, Bacon, Bun)

You cant really go wrong with this, it's going to end up a delicious combination of ingredients no matter what, so enjoy!
