Mariner

The Mariner is manufactured from marine grade stainless steel, and is designed specifically for use on boats and small areas such as balconies. The Mariner is available in both LPG and Natural Gas.

Features

All Heatlie Mariners are covered for 10 years by the Heatlie Warranty Policy.

Available in two sizes:

  • M500DS - has a cooking area of 500mm x 325mm
  • M600DS - has a cooking area of 600mm x 325mm.

It has a 3mm stainless steel hotplate, with a 30mm wall around the edge. It has a spill-free catcher which eliminates fat accidentally being spilt on to boat deck or floor.

The body has edges graded up to 150mm above the hotplate at the sides and rear of the barbecue to prevent fat spray and unwanted flare-ups.

An automatic push button piezo igniter has been installed for easy lighting.

Flame protection device is installed, which cuts off gas supply if flame is accidentally extinguished.

The burner is completely removable for security purposes, as well as quick and efficient repair and servicing.

Lockable lid for protection in storms and security when moving around.

Strong stainless steel lid handle makes it easy to carry.

Different mounts available to suit many applications: deck mounts for marine purposes, wall brackets for mounting on balconies and table top stand which enables you to cook anywhere.

Barbecue Steak - Around 4 minutes each side.

The solid hotplate is great when it comes to potatoes and onions, pancakes, bacon & eggs, tomatoes, stir-fry, or anything else that would usually slide straight through a grill plate.

The Mariner will basically roast anything you would normally do in a baking dish (without the dishes)

  • Whole fish
  • Lamb
  • Pork
  • Beef
  • Poultry
  • Vegetables

Cooking times will vary but generally:

  • Fish up to 3kg - 1 hour
  • Lamb, Beef, Pork, Poultry - allow ¾ hour per kg.
  • Vegetables - 1 hour

Care Guide

MarinerClean all fat off the Mariner with hot soapy water, paying particular attention to the fat catcher. The outside surface should not be wiped with any abrasive cleaners. A commercially available Stainless steel cleaner is recommended.

The burner has been designed to be removed when not in use for long periods, particularly where the Mariner is mounted permanently outside. Remove the burner and place in storage to avoid damage.
